Chloe & Russell's Backyard Wedding | Jervis Bay

Chloe & Russell held their wedding in the backyard of Russell’s parents place down near Jervis Bay south of Sydney. This wasn’t always the plan for them, as they were originally going to have their wedding earlier in the year at the Wollongong Botanic Gardens. That was until they found out that Chloe was pregnant with their first child, Sammy. So they changed the date and the location of their wedding and I am so happy that they decided to make these changes as I do love a good backyard wedding.

Chloe & Rus actually met when they were younger and lost touch with each other until a few years ago when they reconnected with each other and they have been together ever since. Rus proposed to Chloe on a little holiday up in the Hunter Valley, and as usual it didn’t go to plan. They were suppose to walk up to some waterfalls where Rus was going to propose, but after walking for ages and not being able to find the waterfalls, Rus started to give up hope of being able to find them. Chloe was getting grumpy and over it as she had some leeches on her and Rus even managed to pick up a Tick. Ouch! So Rus decided to just propose anyway then and there as they were going to a Stevie Nicks concert in the vineyards later that day. Thankfully for him Chloe said Yes!

Their wedding day was absolutely perfect for them. Chloe got ready at her best friends house (down the road from Russell’s parents house) and Russell hung out with his mates in the pool room at his parents house. All the styling and decorations were done by them with Chloe’s older sister helping to set it all up.

During their ceremony they had a sand ceremony included in which Chloe, Rus & Sammy all poured sand into a bottle to symbolise the joining of the 3 of them into 1 family unit. Chloe even made sure that the colours were matching to her favorite footy team, the Cronulla Sharks.

We didn’t travel too far for their portraits, as right next door was a reserve that provided the perfect backdrop for all of their wedding photos. The boys even carted (with some difficulty) a full size esky with them to keep everyone hydrated whilst we were away so that no one missed out on any of the fun.

I am so excited that these two finally got married, as I have known Chloe for almost 10 years now. Both of them were just so happy and in love that I know they are going to have a great future together. Congratulations!
