Catherine's Family Portraits | Darook Beach Cronulla

I first met Catherine about 2 years ago when she came to one of my mini sessions with her son Ky. So much has changed and happened in Catherine’s life since then. In the 2 years since she has met Jamie, the love of her life and I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph their wedding last year. Now fast forward another year and I have been asked again to photograph this beautiful family for their maternity session.

This maternity session was a real family affair, as Catherine wanted to make sure that Ky was included in it (and for that the whole journey to becoming a big brother). For their session we headed back to where they got their wedding photos done at Darook Beach in Cronulla. It is definitely one of my favorite beaches in Sydney and it didn’t disappoint, as we were lucky enough to have a beautiful warm autumn night with an amazing sunset. We may of even finished this shoot in the water, with Ky going for a swim fully clothed.

Ky definitely stole the show during this shoot and as usual I find all the kids gravitate towards the tyre swing and Ky wasn’t any different. He jumped on not expecting Jamie to grab the rope and swing him up super high that he touched the branches. The laughter was so contagious.

Catherine & Jamie decided to keep the sex of their child a surprise and Ky was all to quick to point out to me that he was going to have a little sister. Lucky for Catherine, a few days after this shoot, Catherine & Jamie welcomed little Indiana into the family and I cannot wait to meet her this weekend, when I do their newborn lifestyle session.
