Victoria & Curtis | Country Wedding | Bunyah NSW

Where do I even start with Victoria & Curtis’s wedding.

Their wedding was held on Victoria’s family property in Bunyah (inland from Forster, NSW) and yes I did have to google where that was. With the neighbouring property being used for Victoria and her bridesmaids to get ready in (we will come back to here soon). Their wedding date fell on one of the first days of sun our area had seen in a few weeks, as before that we had had crazy amounts of rain, which had left many of the roads damaged or flooded and all the areas around it very wet & muddy. So my gumboots were packed and ready to go and as you can imagine getting stuck and not being able to get to the wedding was something I was worried about.

Luckily I did make it to the neighbouring property and met Victoria and her bridesmaids as they were all getting ready. It wasn’t until everyone and myself was ready to head to the ceremony that the real fun begun. This is where I managed to get my car bogged, as I was turning around to head off to the ceremony. So I tried to do everything I could to get myself unstuck before I eventually had to go in and tell Victoria that I was stuck. Not stressful at all. But Victoria jumped right into action (being the country girl that she is) and between herself and her Dad, they tried to get me unstuck, only for us to be unsuccessful and at this point in time running about 20minutes behind schedule. So we left my car there for now and we got some of the guests to get me unstuck after the ceremony was over and whilst I was doing portraits with the wedding party. Thankfully they were successful and my car showed up in time and ready for us to head off to the reception.

So now that most of the drama has unfolded we eventually all made it to Victoria’s parents property for the ceremony, which was conducted by Tony from Celebrant Sorted, in front of the most gorgeous view of Bunyah.

It was important to Victoria & Curtis that we were able to get some photos of her favourite steed (Romeo), Zeus (their dog), a tractor that they had written Mr & Mrs on and general photos around their families property to show it all off and I love that they were both not afraid to get right in amongst the animals and the mud on their wedding day. It made for some beautiful and amazing photos and we were so spoilt with locations to shoot in.

Their reception was held at the local community hall in Bunyah, with beer troughs, bonfires and just your casual game of tug-o-war, that everyone got involved in. It was honestly the most fun I have ever had at at wedding and just seeing the faces on both Victoria & Curtis and all of their guests, I can tell everyone had the best day ever.

I would love for you to have a look at their wedding day below and hopefully you can see in the photos below just how much fun was had by everyone at Victoria & Curtis’s wedding.

Thank you Victoria & Curtis for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. I seriously had the best time ever.
